Seaview Beach Homeowners Association
The Association is a private, non-profit, volunteer organization whose members are property owners within the area known as the “Seaview Farm Tract.” Incorporated on August 6, 1946, the Association is responsible for the maintenance of the land and beach access that it owns for the enjoyment of its members. Membership results from the ownership of a buildable lot within the “Seaview Farm Tract” which was created by Deed of Trust dated July 1912. There are currently some seventy-nine lots that enjoy membership through deeded or other rights.
Prior to 1912, the Willard family owned the working farm comprising the Seaview Farm Tract. A group of Willard relatives, the Hulls, formed Real Estate Security Company for the purpose of selling off the buildable lots. As it sold each lot, Real Estate Security Company conveyed an easement for the enjoyment of the beach to each buyer. After all of the lots were sold, Real Estate Security held title to the land between Seaview Avenue and the shoreline, encumbered by the numerous easements. On September 30, 1946, Real Estate Security Company sold its land to the Association for one dollar.
The Association has owned the land ever since.
