Updated January 2025
The Board of Managers of the Seaview Beach Association have enacted these beach rules for the health, safety and general enjoyment of all. Please note that any Members who rent their homes must notify tenants of these rules as well:
• No dogs are allowed on the beach at any time from May 1st until September 30th. During the months of October through April, dogs are permitted but MUST BE LEASHED and owners must clean up after their dogs. As members of the Association, please help remind others of these rules that provide safety and enjoyment for all
• Swim and use the float at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty
• All inboard/outboard boats, jet skis and other watercraft must stay away from areas where swimmers are present
• All self-propelled watercraft (kayaks, paddleboards) should be stored on the racks provided by the Association to avoid dune erosion.
• Please do not hang or lean anything on fences or attempt to cross over fences at anytime
• No cutting of trees, brush or dumping of brush, leaves or grass clippings on Association property. We are working hard to establish and protect the dunes and marshland
• Only designated entry points to the beach should be utilized for foot traffic to also avoid erosion
• Tents used during the day for shelter from the sun and weather must be taken down and removed from the beach daily. No tent should remain up overnight. This is for safety as winds can pick up unexpectedly overnight
• Members having beach parties after 5pm of more than 8 people should contact the Board President as a courtesy to fellow neighbors
• No fires are permitted on the beach unless approved by the President. We are discouraging fires as the lack of beach puts the fences and brush in danger. For safety, any fire approved must be below the high tide mark, dug into the sand and have ample space between fire pit and the brush area with no wind concerns
• Members are responsible for the supervision and conduct of their children and guests while using the beach (whether the guests are invited by adult or child members) so that all members can enjoy the beach in a relatively quiet manner.
• No horseplay or rough housing on the beach or float is allowed
• There are no trash receptacles on the beach. Please plan ahead and remove your garbage from the beach
• Association members are responsible for keeping their beach box in good condition and to remove it from the beach at the end of the season. Dock boxes (available at West Marine) are the preferred beach box style
• Please do not feed, pursue or annoy geese or any wildlife. We share their space. Thank you
